Over mij

Taking pictures, seeing the world, discover different cultures and making new friends. I always had a wander to travel. This above, exactely what I always wanted. But why did I left home in 2016 and not earlier. Well, I was not ready. I was scared to go. I was afraid to go to Australia because it's on the other side of the world. I knew I was going to regret my choice of not going. So, I just did it. I left home. I left my house in Groningen, my family, my cat and my friends. Now, one year later I'm home.

I never knew I could do this on my own. This big adventure was the best choice I made in my life. I'm 23 years old now and finished my study in 2015.I have studied Social work. I love being around people. It makes me happy to see people grow, see them happy. I was happy at home but always wanted more. I live in a small village but lived in a big city before I left and thought it was amazing. There is so much more to do, more freedom, more action. When I left I had this freedom as well. I made my own choices, had to help myself with everything and this made me consider that I was so much more stronger then I expected.

And now, back home. I wished I was back in Australia. It's such a beautifull country. It feels like home. My advice. Just go. Do it. You will not regret it. Yes, It's scary but you will meet a lot of beautifull people. You'll survive and have the best experience in your life!
