Happy me again

12 maart 2017 - Brisbane City, Australië

Helloo y'all!!

My last blog was a little bit depressed, I know, but this one is a happy one!! YES! On the birthday of my dad, second of March, I flew to beautifull Cairns! I was a little bit nervous because I did not flew on my own before. But happy me, there was 1 girl I knew from the hostel, she had the same flight so we could wait together. We jumped in a little shuttle bus and it really felt I was in a different country! It is so different from the rest of australia. It felt like indonesia, tropical! I felt in love immediately but.. The thing here, there are crocodiles!!! So no swimming in the water or sea... Because in the sea the jellyfish are hiding.. And deadly.

The other thing here in Cairns. Asian people, lots and lots of them. When I came into my room I had 5 Asian girls looking at me. And everyone at the same time ' hiiiiii' with there Asian smileys, so yeah, I had a warm welcome! The hostels here a much cheaper, for 24 dollar a room with kitchen and bathroom. And outside we had a swimmingpool.  It felt like heaven on earth after my brutal weeks. Cairns is not really big, the first day I wanted to walk through, but I was done within 1.5 hour. And cairns is wet, sometimes it rains for 2 hours, then 1 hour dry, 2 hours Rain. But the 2 days after I spend here it was sunny, and yes, I got burned!! I think this is the second time in australia, don't fall asleep without sunscreen guys!! Not a good idea.

I did a daytrip to Cape Tribulation and Daintree Forrest. At 7 in the morning I got picked up and the trip began! Both are at Island, and the only way in is using the Ferry, and don't forget about the crocodiles in the water! We did not saw a lot of animals, but the Spiders, they can be very big!! This place does not have WiFi or electricity. On the way back we did a boattour to Find crocodiles, I only saw a small one, unfortunatly.
Oh, and if someone wants to golf, you can do it in Port Douglas, for 3000 dollar a day! Have funnnnn!

The next day I went to the great barrier reef, so beautifull as well! It was a beautifull day with Nice weather.  I was a little bit nervous because of the jellyfish and sharks but in the water it was fine, an I saw one shark! Right in front of me ( I have That on film and you here someone screening through the snorkel 'Shark shark'!! Yep, me! The reef was not always That colorfull, you can see That it is dying but the fish were so colorfull and bright.

After cairns I went to Townsville, 5 hours with the bus south. Because here you have magnetic Island! A small Island where beautifull beaches are, hikes and you can see wildlife like koala's!  Townsville was also not really big so I went to Airlie Beach. Another 6 hours south. Also Airlie Beach is not really big but here you can go to the Whitsundays! So i went there yesterday. The sand here is so bright, white and pure, it hurts your eyes by looking at it. And with the light blue sea it makes it a perfect view! The fish here were everywhere, under you, next to you, in front of you, you could touched them if you wanted. the kids of the owner of the Tourboat where also in the water, next to me. And they talked about the nature, the fish and everything. They were 7 and 9 but knew everything. I felt a little bit stupid, because they filled fish before and they are not scared of all. So beautifull if you can grow up in a place like this. Go to school and in the weekend you just go to the whitsundays! How amazing! And me so jealous..

And today, sunday 12, I arrived in Brisbane because Tomorrow I'm Going to the middle of nowhere, Yuleba! It is a small town, 5 hours west of Brisbane. I'm Going to work here for the next 3 months! It is a family hotel/bar business. And i'm Going to work here with 3 other girls/ woman to do waitress/ barwork! I'm really excited!! And after this i'm Going to New Sealand!! Yes, happy times are back and travelling on my own is so good. You meet a lot of people and you make your own choices :) I thought i write something now because I don't know how the service is, in Yuleba!

    Dear Lisette,
It is good to read that you again comfortable in your skin is after yet another good choice in your life. I've seen beautiful pictures of the area where you've been and am certainly jealous. Now go to work three months in order to earn money for your trip to New Zealand. Have fun out there and keep in touch. Love Dad.
